The CWA Points Chase is a series of cable wakeboard events run across the country with the purpose of uniting all parks in a standard contest format and providing a framework to legitimise the sport in this country and move forward.

It is a grass roots style of event meant to encourage each cable parks own riders to take part and participate, and foster a nurturing environment for riders to progress. Divisions will be ability based, (not age based) and there will be a division for every level of riding ability.

Each Cable Park will hold their own contests during the season and keep a tally of all riders points scored in each division (based upon their placings) Each Park may run as many or as few contest as they wish. Contests must be completed by the end of March. Each park may or may not award Year End Placegetters based upon these totals as they see fit but there is no requirement in the rules to do so or not to do so.

At the end of the series each park will select 2 riders from each division to represent their park at the National Points Chase Series Finals. Due to rider availability and committments, each park may use whatever system they deem fit to select these 2 riders, it is not necessarily the 2 highest point season totals, but is left to each parks discretion to select the 2 most deserving of the opportunity. The National Points Chase Final would occur at the end of the season, and will be run in conjunction with the standard IWSF format Cable Nationals. Riders would all compete as teams against other parks from around Australia, with a winning ‘Team’ being crowned.
